Computers and technology—whether you love them or hate them, we cannot live without them in the banking industry! Affordable computer technology has allowed community banks across the country to compete with the guys on Wall Street by enhancing our product offerings and increasing the efficiency of our employees. On Friday, July 11th, we are moving to a more powerful computer system that will give us the framework for the next wave of new technology. Fidelity Information Systems, one of the largest computer processors of banks in our country, will continue to process our daily financial activities. However, we are leaving the old system and moving to the much more powerful BancPac software that has the muscle and flexibility to take care of our computer processing needs for the foreseeable future. The first change you will experience is two bank
statements in July, one from the old system on July 11th and
the other from the new system on your regular statement date.
You should see little or no change in the appearance of your
statement. Your August
statement should be dropped on the regularly scheduled date.
We are not going to convert the internet banking and bill pay at
this time, so we are not anticipating any changes in that very popular
product..
Although educating our employees on the new system will take time and practice, our goal is to make the conversion a non-event for you, our valued customers. If you should have a question or encounter any problems, please do not hesitate to call us. One of our conversion team members will be more than happy to immediately address your concern. Thank you for banking with HomeTown Bank, and thank
you in advance for your consideration as we work to improve our product
offerings. Our goal is to
continue to be a vibrant competitor in the community banking
marketplace, and we want to be here for not only our generation, but for
many generations to come.
Sincerely, Jimmy Rasmussen
